Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Production Engineer in Acworth, GA, to support Plastibeton Trench Product manufacturing. You will drive process improvements, optimize operations, and lead automation initiatives to increase throughput and reduce costs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, with strong Lean/Six Sigma and project management skills. Collaboration across functions is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally including engineered materials, precast, polymer concrete, or trench product production.
• Direct experience in process improvement, automation, lean manufacturing, and cost/ROI analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, PLCs, and CAD.

Responsibilities

• Support Plastibeton Trench Product manufacturing, including batching, forming, curing, trimming, and finishing operations.
• Analyze and improve trench production flow, material handling, and equipment performance to boost throughput.
• Lead automation and controls improvements for trench work cells and equipment.
• Develop CAPEX projects and manage them across functions, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.
