Job summary
Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Production Engineer for our Kennedale, TX plant. You will drive process improvements, optimize production flow, and lead automation and CAPEX initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability.
The role is primarily plant-based, with significant time on the production floor and up to 60% travel during training. A mechanical/industrial engineering background and strong project management are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment with engineered materials or trench products.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, lean manufacturing, and ROI analysis.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, PLCs, CAD; Lean/Six Sigma background preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive safety and compliance across plant operations.
- Support Trench Plant operations, including batching, forming, curing, and finishing.
- Lead process improvements and Lean activities to boost throughput and quality.
- Develop automation and controls improvements for trench work cells.
- Lead CAPEX projects and manage cross-functional initiatives on schedule and budget.
