Coherent Corp. in Easton, PA is seeking a Production Engineer to support the LPE (Liquid Phase Epitaxy) process and drive improvements in our manufacturing facility.

Looking for a Production Engineer to work in and help improve/develop the LPE (Liquid Phase Epitaxy) process in our Easton, PA facility
Shift: Mon-Fri (Day shift, timing TBD)
Must be prepared to train for about 6 to 8 months at our Hillsborough, NJ facility at the start of employment
Help with all production tasks associated with the LPE process
Perform crystal growth analysis
Dumping/make new production melts
Diagnose and troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical issues with LPE equipment
Assist with product improvement/development
Prepare and present technical reports
Minimum: Bachelor’s in Engineering
Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Material Science Engineering
Experience with CAD, Excel, Word, Access
Experience with both qualitative and quantitative data
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
Experience handling chemicals and acids
Experience with precision measurement methods and systems
Experience working with fixtures, hand tools, and equipment controllers

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
