Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Easton, PA is seeking a Production Engineer to support and improve the Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) process at our Easton facility. The role involves day shift, Mon-Fri, with training required at our Hillsborough, NJ site for 6 to 8 months at start.

You will perform crystal growth analysis, troubleshoot LPE equipment, assist with product development, and prepare technical reports. A Bachelor’s in Engineering is required; CAD/Excel/Word/Access skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering is required.
• Mechanical or Materials Engineering background preferred.
• Experience with CAD, Excel, Word, and Access.
• Ability to work with qualitative and quantitative data.
• Experience handling chemicals and acids.
• Experience with precision measurement methods and equipment controllers.

Responsibilities

• Help with all production tasks associated with the LPE process.
• Perform crystal growth analysis.
• Dumping/make new production melts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues with LPE equipment.
• Assist with product improvement/development.
• Prepare and present technical reports.
