Goodheart-Willcox Publisher is seeking a Production Editor to manage outsourced production of primary content and supplements, ensuring on-time, quality delivery. The role supports a hybrid schedule for Chicagoland applicants, with in-office presence required at least twice a month in Tinley Park, IL.

The starting salary is expected between $60,000 and $70,000 per year, with a 10% Employee Stock Ownership Plan contribution and a 4% 401(k) match.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ production and/or project management experience required.
• Educational Publishing experience required.
• Prior experience working in conjunction with or directly part of a publishing production team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Project management of main texts and supplement materials.
• Create schedules, milestones, status updates, and ensure on-time delivery to printer or digital production.
• Run production and print supplement launch meetings.
• Onboard new vendors and align with G-W style guides and processes.
• Manage vendors and monitor performance to meet expectations.
• Create and manage budgets, purchase orders, statements of work, and invoices; provide end-of-year outsourcing cost summary.
• Perform quality control of materials to meet company standards.
• Document processes and ensure rollout to stakeholders.
