Job summary

Dometic Land Vehicles America's is seeking dependable Production and Distribution Associates to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The role involves a mix of assembly, material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory, and forklift responsibilities to support production and distribution of our products.

Responsibilities include assembling parts, operating cutting machines, reading instructions and blueprints, inspecting quality, and maintaining a safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and carry materials up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and components according to established procedures, work instructions, and specifications.
• Operate cutting machines to accurately cut fabric and other materials to required dimensions.
• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and production specifications.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality, consistency, and accuracy.
• Identify and report material defects or production discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and customer commitments.
• Receive, store, move, and distribute raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Pull materials and products to fulfill production and customer orders.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists and shipping documentation.
• Package products for shipment and ensure shipment accuracy.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Utilize RF scanners, computers, and warehouse systems to track inventory and material movement.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations.
