Job summary

Highpoint Church is seeking a Production Director to lead our weekend worship productions, oversee live audio, lighting, video, and livestream, and develop a skilled volunteer staff. You will coordinate with Worship and ministry teams to ensure polished services and reliable systems.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of church production leadership or professional live production experience, strong technical skills, and a passion for developing leaders in a growing multi-service environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead production for weekend worship and events (audio, lighting, video, projection, livestream).
• Develop volunteers; recruit, train, schedule, and care for production volunteers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment and systems for reliability and excellence.
• Collaborate with Worship Director to plan and prepare services, rehearsals, and events.
• Provide technical leadership and support for all church gatherings.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory, and procurement recommendations.

We are looking for a skilled and passionateProduction Directorwho can lead our technical production environments, develop talented volunteers, and help build reliable, engaging, and distraction-free worship experiences as our church continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Production:Oversee and execute all technical aspects of weekend worship services and special events, including live audio, lighting, video, projection, livestream, and stage production.
• Develop Volunteers:Recruit, train, schedule, and care for production volunteers while identifying and developing future team leaders.
• Manage Production Systems:Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve audio, video, lighting, and broadcast equipment and systems to ensure consistent reliability and excellence.
• Plan and Prepare Services:Collaborate with the Worship Director and ministry leaders to prepare and execute weekend services, rehearsals, and special events. Ensure all media, presentations, and technical elements are prepared in advance.
• Support Ministry Environments:Provide technical leadership and support for adult worship services, student ministry, special events, and other church gatherings.
• Manage Production Resources:Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory, purchasing recommendations, and responsible stewardship of production resources.
• Build a Healthy Team Culture:Foster a collaborative, encouraging, and spiritually healthy environment where volunteers are equipped to grow, take ownership, and serve with excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong technical competency in live audio mixing, lighting, video, projection, and livestream production.
• Proficiency with Allen & Heath digital audio consoles, Dante, Waves, ProPresenter, Planning Center,Obsidian Control Systems (NX2 controller)and related production technology.
• Experience with video switching, camera systems, lighting consoles, and audio networking.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges quickly and effectively.
• Experience recruiting, training, and developing volunteer production teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under high stakes moments.
• Ability to lead effectively in a growing, multi-service church environment.
• A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach to ministry.
• 5+ years of previous church production leadership or professional live production experience preferred.
• Willing to work nights and weekends as needed
