Job summary

Graphic Designer – Production Artist

$40.69/hr

Retail

Monday-Friday, Hybrid

Manhattan, New York

6 month contract, could extend

What You’ll Do:

• Provide graphic production support to senior graphic designers and the layout production team
• Create and resize marketing collateral while incorporating approved designs into standardized templates
• Accurately assemble production design elements and copy across multiple assets
• Prepare final files for print production, including pre-flight, export, and uploading files to web-based systems
• Partner with traffic, retouching, and marketing teams to communicate and manage deliverables
• Develop, communicate, and maintain best practices for production processes and workflows
• Manage and organize creative files and digital assets
• Perform quality control to ensure all work meets brand standards
• Manage in-season creative edits and deliveries within established timelines, including off-cadence business changes
• Support new design work as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Bridge, Figma
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Figma experience required
• Animation experience preferred
• Retail Industry Experience
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and graphic design
• Ability to translate approved design concepts into multiple sizes and formats while maintaining visual continuity
• Strong understanding of the prepress process and artwork preparation for final output
• Extremely detail-oriented with a meticulous approach to quality control
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and accurately managing last-minute changes
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Digital Asset Management System experience is a plus
• Scripting and automation experience is a plus
• Retail-specific experience and a diverse portfolio are highly preferred
• Team-oriented and willing to support cross-functional partners to get the job done
