The Graphic Production Designer is responsible for translating design files into Prepress friendly formats for automation and card building for collectible trading cards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create design specification documents (design packets) for internal and external distribution.
• Partner with the Prepress Engineering, art directors, project management, and external prepress/print vendors to facilitate file deliverables.
• Coordinate with Creative and Prepress Engineering teams to ensure all designs meet specifications.
• Review print specifications on form breaks and ensure design and production files align with manufacturing specifications, updating files as needed.
• Understand licensor requirements and review master files for compliance.
• Execute manual compositions of designs supplied by the Creative team, such as photo collages, custom typography, backgrounds, etc.

Qualifications

• Strong Prepress and Print knowledge.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Excel; automation skills are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines across multiple projects.
• Organized, detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.
• Extensive prepress and graphic production experience.
