Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Arlington, VA seeks a Production Engineer to support safe, reliable operations of our LNG liquefaction facility. You will join the Production Excellence team and work with IT, BI, and operations to drive real-time performance improvements.

The role requires strong LNG/process engineering background, data-driven mindset, and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering is highly desired; bachelor’s acceptable with proven LNG improvements.
• Minimum 3 years of production or process engineering experience in LNG environments.
• Demonstrated success improving plant operations with data, analytics, or automation.
• Knowledge of production systems, control rooms, and key process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to track LNG production performance, dashboards, reports, and alerts.
• Translate data into actionable insights to improve reliability, availability, and throughput.
• Automate analysis of production trends and support investigations and mitigation planning.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze plant data and model outputs to find optimization opportunities and troubleshoot issues.
• Evaluate impact of process changes, debottlenecking studies, and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and BI Developers to ensure data quality.
• Provide input to the annual delivery plan, forecasts, and performance reviews.
• Share learnings across teams and standardize best practices across facilities.
• Travel to Louisiana LNG facilities as needed.
