Job summary

Klondike Cheese Company is seeking a Production Assistant to support the yogurt production department with daily administrative and operational tasks, ensuring accurate data, scheduling, and inventory tracking.

You will collaborate with the Yogurt Procurement Specialist, the Yogurt Production Scheduler, production staff, and shipping personnel to maintain records, assist with production schedules, and resolve discrepancies to keep operations efficient.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical aptitude required.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations and scheduling principles is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and related business software is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office products.

Responsibilities

• Verify production orders, materials, and production information for accuracy.
• Data entry and maintenance in the ERP system; identify and correct discrepancies.
• Maintain and file production, purchasing, and inventory records and reports.
• Develop and maintain production schedules; back-up to the Yogurt Production Scheduler.
• Track milk and ingredient requirements for production schedules.
• Communicate schedules and order requirements with yogurt make and packaging departments.
