We currently have an opportunity for a Production Crew Member at our manufacturing plant in Richmond, VA.

Pay: $23.70 / hour
  • 12hr Shift 2/2/3 Schedule*
  • 12hr Shift Differential Range: $1.30-$2.05*
Responsibilities

As a Production Crew Member, you will provide a safe, efficient operation of a production line that manufactures high-quality nylon cooking bags while supporting productivity, quality, and continuous improvement objectives. Contributes to reliable manufacturing operations by monitoring equipment performance, identifying and resolving routine production issues, maintaining product quality standards, and collaborating with team members to achieve operational goals. Works with a high degree of accountability within established procedures while demonstrating flexibility through cross-training and supporting changing production needs.

Manufacturing Operations
  • Operate assigned production equipment safely and efficiently to achieve production, quality, and operational performance objectives.
  • Set up production equipment, monitor operating conditions, and make routine adjustments to maintain consistent product quality and equipment performance.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine equipment or process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Record production and equipment activity accurately to support operational performance and traceability.
Quality
  • Inspect finished products and perform required quality checks to verify compliance with established product specifications.
  • Monitor product characteristics and identify quality concerns promptly to prevent nonconforming material and support customer satisfaction.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and work practices to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment and material handling equipment safely when authorized and required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through routine housekeeping activities.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with crew members to support production schedules and operational goals.
  • Participate in cross-training activities to expand operational knowledge, increase workforce flexibility, and support business continuity.
  • Perform additional production-related responsibilities that support department objectives and overall manufacturing operations.

Requirements
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred
  • Experience operating packaging or converting equipment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing production environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or similar industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to monitor equipment performance, identify quality concerns, and make routine operational adjustments.
  • Ability to identify and resolve routine production and equipment issues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safe manufacturing practices and quality standards, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
