We currently have an opportunity for a Packing Crew Member at our Manufacturing Plant in Bellwood/Richmond, VA.

Pay: $22.52/hour

Shift/Hours: 12hr 2-2-3 Schedule

  • 12hr Shift Differential Range: $1.30-$2.05*
Responsibilities

The Packing Crew Member supports safe and efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring finished products are packaged, labeled, staged, and supplied in accordance with production requirements and quality standards. This role enables continuous plant operations by maintaining material flow, supporting inventory accuracy, and promoting a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Working with a high degree of independence, the position identifies quality concerns, supports recycling initiatives, and contributes to operational efficiency through consistent execution of established processes.

Manufacturing Operations
  • Package finished products according to established packing specifications to ensure quality, accuracy, and customer requirements are met.
  • Supply production departments with packing materials to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Label finished products accurately to maintain product identification and inventory integrity.
  • Consolidate and prepare recyclable and waste materials for proper disposal to support operational efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Material Handling
  • Safely transport raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-process throughout the facility to maintain production flow.
  • Operate assigned material handling and packaging equipment in accordance with established safety and operating procedures.
  • Stage, move, and organize materials to optimize workflow and warehouse efficiency.
Quality & Inventory
  • Inspect products throughout the packing process and promptly identify quality concerns or production abnormalities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and material movement records to support inventory accuracy and operational performance.
  • Verify materials and finished products are properly stored and available for production and shipment.
Safety & Operational Excellence
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in support of plant safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while performing work with minimal supervision.
  • Support continuous operational effectiveness by completing additional work assignments consistent with business needs.

Education/Experience
Requirements
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or material handling environment.
Preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
