Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Production Coordinator/Expeditor to help keep the Terran R supply chain on track. You’ll monitor part availability, coordinate with production and vendors, and execute ERP/MES transactions to move parts through the floor.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as Production Coordinator or Expeditor (or similar role).
  • 2+ years of experience with ERP, MES and/or WMS software.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.
  • Proficient communication across multiple platforms (email, Slack, etc.).
  • Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between different organizations to ensure components flow smoothly through production and meet timeline requirements.
  • Own the monitoring and communication of location and status of all hardware, kits, and builds on the manufacturing floor.
  • Perform ERP/MES transactions to transact parts.
  • Demonstrate ability to self-prioritize and execute autonomously in a dynamic environment.
  • Actively seek information to understand work orders, kit requests and internal customer needs.
  • Work with Production/Material Planning to identify part shortages.

About the Team:

Supply Chain at Relativity encompasses direct supply management for all Terran-R parts and materials and materials management. Put simply, we own the value chain from identification of a need to delivery to our internal customer. The Supply Chain team’s vision is to build a best-in-class, responsive, and data-driven supply chain management organization that is a key competitive advantage for Relativity. Supply Chain is currently putting that vision into practice through sourcing long-lead parts, production equipment, and infrastructure projects for Terran R production. We have had numerous accomplishments with high-dollar, impactful projects by collaborating closely with finance, manufacturing, and engineering to deliver excellent value and keep our aggressive Terran R schedule on track.

About the Role:
  • Serve as a liaison between different organizations throughout the company to ensure components and assemblies flow smoothly through the production area while meeting timeline requirements
  • Exhibit ownership for monitoring and communicating the location and status of all hardware, kits, and builds on the manufacturing floor
  • Perform various ERP/MES transactions to systematically transact parts
  • Demonstrated experience self-prioritizing and executing autonomously in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Actively seek information to understand work orders, kit requests and the needs of the internal customer
  • Work with Production/Material Planning to identify part shortages

This is a second-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. In addition to base pay, employees receive a 10% shift premium.

About You:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Production Coordinator or Expeditor (or similar role)
  • 2+ years of experience with ERP, MES and/or WMS softwares
  • Able to lift up to 35lbs unassisted
  • Proficient communication skills across multiple platforms (email, Slack, etc.)
  • Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
Nice to haves but not required:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Production Coordinator or Expeditor (or similar role)
  • Experience in aerospace or automotive environments
  • Experience with Infor LN (ERP) and/or Jira (MES)
  • Familiarity with forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  • Attention to EHS guidelines

Hiring Range:

$23.38 — $35.07 USD
