Job summary

JESSILYN PERSONNEL INC seeks a Production Coordinator for a well-established outerwear manufacturer in Midtown Manhattan. You will manage production from development through final shipment, coordinating with sales, factories, and vendors to ensure on-time deliveries and quality.

Experience with major retailers, woven outerwear, lab dips, and third-party inspections (SGS, MTS, ITS) is valued. Proficiency with the A2000 system and freight/logistics processes will streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Retail account experience with major retailers is preferred.
• Experience with woven outerwear, packing requirements, shipping procedures, and production coordination.
• Experience following up on lab dips, testing, and inspections with third-party agencies (SGS, MTS, ITS).
• Knowledge of freight forwarders, shipping terms, booking procedures, and calculating delivery lead times.

Job description

Opportunity with a well-established outerwear manufacturer located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production professional to join a quality-driven apparel business, work with major retail accounts, and play an important role in managing production from development through final shipment. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Production Coordinator who understands the apparel manufacturing process, can manage multiple priorities, and knows how to keep production moving efficiently while meeting quality standards and delivery deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

Retail Account Experience

Familiarity with major retailers such as Costco, JCPenney, BJ’s, Walmart, Coldwater Creek, and other private-label accounts.

Apparel Production Knowledge

Experience with woven outerwear, including packing requirements, shipping procedures, and production coordination.

Quality Control & Testing

Experience following up on lab dips, testing, and inspections with third-party agencies such as SGS, MTS, and ITS.

Shipping & Logistics

Knowledge of freight forwarders, shipping terms, booking procedures, and calculating delivery lead times to ensure on‑time shipments.

Factory Compliance

Familiarity with factory compliance requirements and social audits is a plus.

Team Collaboration

Ability to work closely with the sales team, communicate effectively with factories and vendors, and respond promptly to production-related requests.

Systems Knowledge

Familiarity with the A2000 apparel management system.

Language Skills

Chinese or Korean language proficiency is a plus.
