Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Production Coordinator who will link Customer Service with Production, review orders, and release jobs to manufacturing to hit delivery targets. You will manage production schedules, update stakeholders, and monitor progress to keep operations efficient and accurate.

You will collaborate with planning, purchasing, inventory, and shipping, and update ERP/MRP systems to ensure on-time delivery and clear communication across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or operations coordination.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of customer orders from Customer Service to Production.
• Review incoming orders for accuracy, completeness, and production readiness.
• Release work orders to manufacturing based on production capacity, material availability, and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, and order status updates to Customer Service and other stakeholders.
• Monitor order progress throughout the manufacturing process and address delays or bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Planning, Inventory, and Shipping teams to support efficient operations.
• Update ERP/MRP systems with production schedules, order releases, and status changes.
• Track key production metrics and generate reports as needed.
• Assist in capacity planning and workload balancing across production departments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, workflow, and customer satisfaction.
