Job summary

SpeedPro NJ Shore is seeking a Production Coordinator to support the production team and owner. The role blends computer-based tasks with hands-on finishing of print work, ensuring accuracy from proofing to installation.

You will manage digital proofs, file preparation, and order entries, while also handling on-site finishing duties including cutting, weeding, and vinyl installation. A design background and ability to lift 50 lbs are important.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a must.
• Degree in graphic design or a related program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect customer files, provide digital proofs, and make graphics print-ready.
• Add Path Cut Lines to files and RIP files for printing.
• Perform mechanical graphic design for banners to vehicle ads.
• Enter orders into workflow software and communicate with customers by email/phone.
• Operate and maintain large-format printers, laminators, and routers.
• Weed vinyl, hem banners, apply grommets, and install vinyl on flat surfaces.
• Assist with inventory management.

The Production Coordinator will work directly with the Production Manager and Owner. The Production Coordinator will spend 30% of their time on a computer and 70% of the time on their feet helping “finish” assorted print work.

30% of computer time will encompass the following

• Inspect customer files, provide digital proofs, and make the graphics print-ready
• Adding Path Cut Lines to certain files.
• “Ripping” files to print.
• Mechanical graphic design needs for assorted needs. This can vary from a simple banner all the way to a vehicle advertisement.
• Entering orders into our workflow software.
• Communicating with customers by email and telephone concerning specific details on orders.
• Using our software to ship an order via UPS or Fedex.

70% of time on their feet helping finish printed jobs.

• Operate and maintain large-format printers, laminators, and routers.
• Inspected completed print work to ensure there are no defects.
• Reviewing order details to ensure all elements are produced accurately.
• Weeding vinyl
• Hemming & applying grommets to banners.
• Using a straight Edge and knife to cut orders apart.
• Installing vinyl onto flat surfaces.
• Assisting with inventory management.

Ideal candidates will also possess

• 2+ years of working with Adobe creative suites. Solid knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a must.
• Experience with large-format printers, laminators, plotters, and graphic and signage finishing
• Associate or bachelor’s Degree in graphic design (or similar program)
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
