Job summary

SpeedPro NJ Shore is seeking a graphic design/prodution specialist to support large-format printing projects. You will inspect files, prepare proofs, and finalize files for print, including adding cut lines and ripping for production.

You’ll operate printers, laminators, and routers, handle vinyl, hems, grommets, and installation tasks, and assist with order entry and customer communication to ensure accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working with Adobe creative suites; solid knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a must.
• Experience with large-format printers, laminators, plotters, and graphic/signage finishing.
• Associate or bachelor’s Degree in graphic design (or similar program)
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect customer files, provide digital proofs, and make the graphics print-ready.
• Adding Path Cut Lines to certain files.
• “Ripping” files to print.
• Mechanical graphic design needs for assorted needs, from banners to vehicle ads.
• Entering orders into our workflow software.
• Communicating with customers by email and telephone concerning order details.
• Using our software to ship an order via UPS or Fedex.
• Operate and maintain large-format printers, laminators, and routers.
• Inspected completed print work to ensure no defects.
• Reviewing order details to ensure all elements are produced accurately.
• Weeding vinyl; Hemming & applying grommets to banners; Cutting orders; Installing vinyl on surfaces.

Functions

30% of computer time will encompass the following

• Inspect customer files, provide digital proofs, and make the graphics print-ready
• Adding Path Cut Lines to certain files.
• “Ripping” files to print.
• Mechanical graphic design needs for assorted needs. This can vary from a simple banner all the way to a vehicle advertisement.
• Entering orders into our workflow software.
• Communicating with customers by email and telephone concerning specific details on orders.
• Using our software to ship an order via UPS or Fedex.

70% of time on their feet helping finish printed jobs.

• Operate and maintain large-format printers, laminators, and routers.
• Inspected completed print work to ensure there are no defects.
• Reviewing order details to ensure all elements are produced accurately.
• Weeding vinyl
• Hemming & applying grommets to banners.
• Using a straight Edge and knife to cut orders apart.
• Installing vinyl onto flat surfaces.
• Assisting with inventory management.

Ideal Candidates Will Also Possess

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
