Job summary

Scope of Position

This highly motivated, detail orientated individual, as part of the production planning department, will be responsible for managing the closure of manufacturing jobs, supporting inventory accuracy, auditing part setup and warehouse bin location integrity within the ERP system. This role works closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to ensure parts are properly configured and stored, enabling efficient production and material flow. This position reports to the Production Planning supervisor.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the timely and accurate closing of production jobs in the ERP system
  • Ensure all job documentation and transactions are complete, accurate and compliant with job standards.
  • Collaborate with production, planning and finance teams to resolve job discrepancies.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory variances in coordination with warehouse and procurement teams.
  • Support cycle counting and continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control.
  • Partner with Purchasing and Engineering to ensure new and existing parts are correctly set up in the ERP system.
  • Work with Stockroom and Production personnel to verify that parts are assigned to correct bin locations in the ERP system and physically stored accordingly.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity for part records and bin locations to support accurate material transactions and traceability.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Production Planning Supervisor or Company management.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a production coordination or manufacturing support role.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of part lifecycle management and BOM structures.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling best practices.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform a portion of your duties in an office environment. You will also, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Watts, Fort Worth (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

Physical Requirements

Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods. Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office‑related materials. Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks. Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers. Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds. Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor. Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
