Job summary

Plum Market is seeking a Production Cook to quickly prepare, cook, and serve items per menu while upholding Plum Market’s quality standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and presentation. The role emphasizes guest service, teamwork, and adherence to safety and sanitation protocols.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, gain exposure to catering tasks, and contribute to a positive dining experience for guests. Prior cooking experience and a strong work ethic are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of cook experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while staying detail oriented.
• Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and courteous service to customers.
• Perform proper food safety and sanitation.
• Be self-motivated.
• Keep the entire kitchen clean and in excellent working condition.
• Communicate any needs to the manager.
• Receive deliveries, stock shelves, coolers, and rotate product.
• Sweep and mop floors daily.
• Wash dishes as needed.
• Prepare, heat and serve all components of the daily menu.
• Assist on catering orders with the manager.
• Drop off catering orders.
• Maintain the hot bar during lunch service.
• Assist Sandwich Station and Salad Station as needed.
