The community you’ll be caring for:

Established in 1997 and now a 203-bed hospital

  • AdventHealth Celebration Health was designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney’s planned community of Celebration, Florida
  • The hospital consistently delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk and Lake Counties, as well as to visitors from across the United States and the world. All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and disease

The role you’ll contribute:

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining respectful relationships with all. Under the direction of the Managing Chef, responsible for preparation of all foods and related items for cafeteria, catering, or patient meals. Ensures all food production aligns with recipe specifications and proper procedures, maintaining standards for quality, taste, appearance, and freshness. Records product temperatures and monitors holding times as needed. Meets all production deadlines, demonstrates cost-conscious behaviors, and adheres to sanitation, safety, cleanliness, and food storage standards. Assists with serving customers and provides world-class customer service.

  • Checks food quality regularly and takes corrective actions as needed.
  • Minimizes waste by preparing appropriate portions and proactively manages shortages and substitutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure smooth department operations.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Able to communicate effectively in English with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to follow, read, and write recipes as needed.

Preferred knowledge and skills:

  • Bilingual in Spanish, Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and experience required:

  • Food Service line cook or lead cook experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred education and experience:

  • Same as above, with additional preferred qualifications as applicable.
