The community you’ll be caring for:

Established in 1997, a 203-bed hospital designed as a Mediterranean resort-style facility to serve as a cornerstone of health in Disney’s planned community of Celebration, Florida. The hospital delivers a state-of-the-art healing environment to residents of Osceola, Orange, Polk, and Lake Counties, as well as visitors from across the U.S. and the world, integrating mind, body, and spirit in the fight against illness and disease.

The role you’ll contribute:

Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all. Under the direction of the Managing Chef, responsible for preparing all foods and related items for cafeteria, catering, or patient meals. Ensures food production aligns with recipes and standards for quality, taste, appearance, and freshness. Records temperatures, monitors holding times, meets deadlines, and demonstrates cost-conscious behaviors. Adheres to sanitation, safety, and food storage standards. Assists with serving and provides world-class customer service.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Knowledge and experience strongly preferred:

  • Effective communication in English with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to follow, read, and write recipes.

Preferred knowledge and skills:

  • Bilingual in Spanish, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and experience required: None

Preferred education and experience:

  • Food Service line cook or lead cook experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Licensure, certification, or registration required:

  • ServSafe or equivalent (preferred).
