Job summary

National Carwash Solutions seeks a Production Controls Manager to lead production scheduling and planning, translating sales demand into actionable work orders in NetSuite. You’ll own the master schedule, balance capacity, and partner with manufacturing, packaging and supply chain to keep production on time.

You’ll build labor forecasting tools, monitor schedule adherence via KPIs, and drive continuous improvement to mitigate risks from supply and capacity constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, operations management, business administration or related field.
• 3–5 years or more years of supply chain or production planning experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
• Experience with NetSuite (Oracle ERP) is a plus.

The Production Controls Manager leads production scheduling and planning for NCS’s manufacturing operations, translating sales demand and customer commitments into achievable work order schedules within NetSuite and the production facility. This role owns the master production schedule, balances plant capacity and efficacy against sales demand, and partners with manufacturing, packaging and supply chain. The Production Controls Manager also builds labor forecasting tools/insight, tracks schedule adherence through KPIs, and leads a focus on keeping production on time and on plan.

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement comprehensive production planning strategies aligned with company objectives to optimize efficiency, minimize costs, and meet customer demand.
• Coordinate the creation of work orders and scheduling via NetSuite to meet the requirements of our Customers, slot projections and work orders based on defined capacity criteria
• Work with Operations, Purchasing and Distribution as required to define appropriate due dates for projects to maximize production capacity
• Develop method to provide and create labor planning tools to accurately forecast headcount based on stated demand
• Ensure dates on work orders and work order flow is appropriate to complete the tasks associated on time
• Collaborate with the production team when work orders are not completed on the date requested to understand root cause and determine the appropriate corrective actions
• Coordinate refinement of scheduling processes based on daily feedback, interactions and learning
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, monitor adherence to production schedules, and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions, capacity constraints and other challenges that may impact production execution
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in management, operations management, business administration or related field. (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor’s degree.)
• 3-5 years or more years of supply chain or production planning experience.
• Must have effective organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to quickly understand a situation, determine root cause, and execute a corrective action
• Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership/influence cross-functionally between Operations and Supply Chain teams
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills which will entail speaking to both small and large groups of individuals
• Must be a perceptive listener with the ability to ask pertinent questions and hold business units accountable regarding details associated with timely project execution
• Must have the ability to manage multiple objectives/tasks
• Must possess solid computer skills (MS Office applications, specifically Excel and PPT)
• Experience with NetSuite (Oracle ERP) a positive
