Job summary

Columbia Vehicle Group in Aiken, SC is seeking a Production Control Support team member to help keep the build schedule, material flow, and production records accurate from start to finish. You will create and manage work orders in ERP, check part availability, coordinate with Purchasing, prepare build packets, log serial numbers for traceability, and support inventory and cycle counts on the plant floor.

This role blends office tasks with on-site production responsibilities to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in production control, inventory, materials, or shipping/receiving in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Plex, Dynamics).
• Proficient in Excel and Office 365; accurate data entry and strong organization.
• Clear communication with floor staff and office teams; follow shifting priorities calmly.

Responsibilities

• Create, release, and close work orders in ERP; keep daily/weekly build schedule current.
• Check part availability against the schedule; flag shortages and expedite parts with Purchasing.
• Prepare build packets and coordinate kit pulls to prevent assembly delays.
• Record completed units, scrap, rework, and labor hours; log serial numbers for traceability.
• Support cycle counts and annual inventory; help reconcile variances.
• Produce daily production status, WIP, and on-time delivery reports.
• Serve as point of contact for Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales.
