Job summary

Nickerson Talent Solutions is seeking a Program Manager / Production Control with strong experience in structural steel fabrication or related manufacturing. You will own production planning, scheduling, material flow, and shop priorities while leveraging Tekla PowerFab and ProNest for real‑time visibility and optimized material use.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Tekla PowerFab experience required.
• Experience with Prodevco plasma cutting systems required.
• ProNest experience required.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with production control, scheduling, program management, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of material flow, BOMs, inventory, and shop floor operations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage production schedules and ensure projects stay on track for on‑time delivery.
• Oversee production control, material flow, inventory tracking, job status, and shop priorities.
• Use Tekla PowerFab to manage production workflows and provide real‑time production visibility.
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, detailing, project management, and shop teams.
• Manage cut lists, nesting data, production reports, and production priorities.
• Support CNC and automated plasma cutting operations and programming.
• Use ProNest to optimize material utilization and reduce waste.
• Review AutoCAD drawings and fabrication details.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Support automation initiatives, including robotic welding and automated fabrication.
