Optimal in Kentucky is seeking a Production Control Coordinator to oversee daily material flow, analyze inventories, and coordinate shipments across plants.

You will review part statuses, prepare expedites, and maintain accurate CMMS records to protect customer commitments. The role requires at least 2 years in manufacturing and an associate degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment focused on production control or materials management.
• Experience in manufacturing plants is required.

Responsibilities

• Review morning inventories for potential criticals.
• Check part status for all customers and prioritize shipments.
• Analyze and prepare expedites for plants as needed.
• Coordinate with scheduling to protect customers and manage die sets.
• Prepare car loading matrix for switches and print pick lists.
• Review rack status and daily inventory for shortages.
• Print available car inventory and review CMMS car manifests.
• Select railcars for switches and check railcar cubing.
• Monitor TSAA for overdue rail cars or inbound trucks.
• Put lineup in CMMS to inform customers about parts in transit.
• Resolve CUM disagreements with customers and respond to shortages.
• Communicate status changes as the day progresses.
