Job summary

PurePower Technologies in Kentucky is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to align production schedules with customer demand, optimize inventory, and improve manufacturing efficiency. You will work with Operations, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Engineering, and Supply Chain to develop schedules that support business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of production planning, scheduling, materials planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Production Planning, MRP/ERP, Capacity Planning, Inventory Control, and Manufacturing Operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Analyze orders, forecasts, and requirements to create achievable schedules.
• Monitor material availability and identify shortages affecting production.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers to resolve shortages and expedite components.
• Use ERP/MRP systems to maintain planning parameters and data accuracy.
• Review schedules and adjust priorities as demand or operations change.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and Engineering to resolve conflicts.
• Maintain inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
• Track performance and communicate schedule risks to leadership.
• Support S&OP activities and demand planning initiatives.
