Job summary

Atkore in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Production Control Manager to oversee inventory, purchasing, and production scheduling. You will ensure MRP integrity, manage cycle counts, and drive procurement to meet customer demands.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead cost-reduction initiatives, collaborate with suppliers, and develop robust procedures to maintain system accuracy. A Lean background and 2+ years in manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in inventory, distribution, procurement and production manufacturing.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS OS and JDE/Oracle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MRP system integrity and oversee processing of POs and production orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records including transfers, cycle counts and audits.
• Coordinate purchasing to obtain parts for upcoming production.
• Identify improvements to procedures to maximize efficiency and cut costs.
• Oversee RFQs, sourcing, POs, and supplier relations.
• Develop and monitor standard costs for raw materials.
• Manage databases associated with procurement modules.
