Job summary

Sierra Circuit in San Jose, CA seeks a Production Control Coordinator to oversee PCBA production operations on assigned shifts, ensuring schedules, quality, and on-time delivery. Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in the PCBA industry, manufacturing operations, and production/order coordination.
  • Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes and production flow is preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, SOPs, and related operational documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify, communicate, and resolve production-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks, systems, and processes as needed.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours or adjusted schedules based on business and production demands.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage PCBA production activities during assigned shifts to ensure production targets and delivery commitments are met.
  • Create, maintain, and modify daily and weekly production schedules to support customer requirements and operational objectives.
  • Coordinate production workflow, priorities, and inter-shift transitions to ensure seamless operations and effective team alignment.
  • Track production progress and material availability, including raw materials, WIP, and inventory levels, to maintain continuous production flow.
  • Provide timely updates on production status, scheduling adjustments, priorities, and potential delays to leadership, internal departments, and customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Production, Sales, Planning, Logistics, and customers regarding production schedules, delivery commitments, and shipment updates.
  • Proactively notify customers and internal stakeholders of production delays or shipment schedule changes that may affect delivery timelines.
  • Identify, elevate, and support resolution of production issues impacting quality, productivity, or on-time delivery performance.
  • Partner with department managers, Process Engineers, and leadership teams to improve workflow efficiency and sustain operational continuity.
  • Prepare and communicate daily shift reports, production summaries, and operational updates for leadership and incoming supervisors.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives aimed at reducing scrap, waste, and overall production loss.
  • Participate in after-hours emergency coverage and rotating Saturday support schedules as needed.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by management.

PRODUCTION CONTROL COORDINATOR

Regular Full-Time San Jose, CA, San Jose, CA, US

Salary Range: $25.00 To $28.00 Annually

SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:

This role oversees PCBA production operations during assigned shifts to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments are consistently met. The position serves as a key coordination point between Production, Engineering, Sales, Planning, Logistics, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of issues. It plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting continuous improvement, and minimizing production disruptions. The role also ensures clear shift-to-shift communication, supports customer shipment expectations, and participates in after-hours and weekend support as needed.

- May require working in a controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity requirements.
