Job summary

Reading Truck is seeking a Production Control Coordinator in Claremore to align daily and weekly production schedules with demand and material availability. You will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping/Receiving, and Materials leadership to resolve scheduling and material flow issues and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years in production scheduling, production control, and/or inventory control in manufacturing preferred
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems; strong Excel skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily/weekly production schedules based on demand, priorities, labor, materials and equipment constraints
  • Coordinate material availability, movement, staging, kitting, and replenishment to support uninterrupted production
  • Monitor inventory levels and investigate shortages, discrepancies, and variances
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Inventory teams to resolve material issues and support schedules
  • Communicate shortages, schedule changes, delays, and inventory concerns to departments
  • Support accurate inventory transactions, cycle counts, and ERP data integrity
  • Maintain production schedules, inventory records, and material information in ERP systems
  • Coordinate replenishment of indirect materials, supplies, and consumables
  • Prepare reports on production schedules, inventory status, shortages, and performance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling, accuracy, flow, and efficiency
  • Assist Materials leadership with reporting, planning, scheduling, and inventory management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Reading Truck is now hiring a Production Control Coordinator in Claremore. Get paid to play with trucks!
Shift:

Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm; Overtime on Friday as needed

How You Will Make an Impact

The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily production schedules and supporting material availability to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This position works closely with Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping/Receiving, and Materials leadership to coordinate production priorities, maintain accurate production and inventory information, and support on-time delivery. They serve as a key liaison between departments to identify and resolve scheduling, inventory, and material flow issues that may impact production.

The Nuts and Bolts
  • Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, production priorities, labor availability, material availability, and equipment constraints.
  • Coordinate material availability, movement, staging, kitting, and replenishment to support uninterrupted production.
  • Monitor inventory levels and investigate material shortages, discrepancies, transaction errors, and other inventory variances.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Inventory teams to resolve material issues, prioritize work, and support production schedules.
  • Communicate material shortages, schedule changes, production delays, and inventory concerns to appropriate departments.
  • Support accurate inventory transactions, cycle counts, inventory control processes, and ERP data integrity.
  • Maintain accurate production schedules, inventory records, and material information within ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Coordinate the replenishment and inventory of indirect materials, supplies, and consumables to support manufacturing, maintenance, and facility operations.
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to production schedules, inventory status, material shortages, and operational performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scheduling, inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist Materials leadership with reporting, planning, scheduling, inventory management, and other departmental initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Credentials
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in supply chain, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in production scheduling, production control, and/or inventory control within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (JD Edwards, SAP, or similar manufacturing systems) preferred
  • Able to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications, with advances Excel skills preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Production, Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse, and Shipping and Receiving
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and production scheduling
