Job summary

Reading Truck in Claremore is seeking a Production Control Coordinator to manage daily and weekly production schedules, coordinate material availability, and ensure on-time delivery. You will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping/Receiving, and Materials leadership to align priorities and resolve scheduling concerns.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, production control, and/or inventory control in manufacturing.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment preferred
• Associate degree or higher preferred in related fields

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily/weekly production schedules based on demand, priorities, labor and materials.
• Coordinate material availability, movement, staging, kitting, and replenishment for uninterrupted production.
• Monitor inventory levels; investigate shortages, discrepancies and variances.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse and Inventory teams to resolve material issues and support schedules.
• Communicate shortages, schedule changes, delays, and inventory concerns to relevant departments.
• Support accurate inventory transactions, cycle counts, and ERP data integrity.
• Maintain accurate production schedules and inventory records in ERP systems.
• Coordinate replenishment of indirect materials to support manufacturing and facility operations.
• Prepare and maintain reports on production schedules, inventory status and performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling, inventory accuracy and material flow.
• Assist Materials leadership with reporting, planning, scheduling, inventory management.

Reading Truck is now hiring a Production Control Coordinator in Claremore. Get paid to play with trucks!

Shift: Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm; Overtime on Friday as needed

How You Will Make an Impact

The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily production schedules and supporting material availability to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This position works closely with Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping/Receiving, and Materials leadership to coordinate production priorities, maintain accurate production and inventory information, and support on-time delivery. They serve as a key liaison between departments to identify and resolve scheduling, inventory, and material flow issues that may impact production.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, production priorities, labor availability, material availability, and equipment constraints.
• Coordinate material availability, movement, staging, kitting, and replenishment to support uninterrupted production.
• Monitor inventory levels and investigate material shortages, discrepancies, transaction errors, and other inventory variances.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Inventory teams to resolve material issues, prioritize work, and support production schedules.
• Communicate material shortages, schedule changes, production delays, and inventory concerns to appropriate departments.
• Support accurate inventory transactions, cycle counts, inventory control processes, and ERP data integrity.
• Maintain accurate production schedules, inventory records, and material information within ERP and inventory management systems.
• Coordinate the replenishment and inventory of indirect materials, supplies, and consumables to support manufacturing, maintenance, and facility operations.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to production schedules, inventory status, material shortages, and operational performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scheduling, inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency.
• Assist Materials leadership with reporting, planning, scheduling, inventory management, and other departmental initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Credentials

• High School Diploma or GED ; Associate degree in supply chain, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in production scheduling, production control, and/or inventory control within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment preferred
