Job summary

Chief Industries, Inc. is seeking a full-time construction associate to assemble exterior walls per specifications. The role centers on framing and paneling walls, installing insulation, OSB, and sheetrock, and raising walls into racks.

Required tools knowledge includes staple and nail guns, power tools, hand tools, measuring devices, and hoists. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. We offer paid vacation, life and disability insurance, health and vision coverage, 401(k) style benefits,

• Ability to adhere to plant rules, procedures and policies.
• Ability to perform framing and paneling of exterior walls.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing and paneling of exterior walls according to specifications.
• Use staple and nail guns, power tools, hand tools, measuring devices, hoists and related equipment as required.
• Build headers per print and install insulation inside.
• Cut jack studs, install headers and assemble components.
• Install insulation between studs and finish with OSB and sheetrock.

Job description

Construction and assembly of exterior walls in accordance with required specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform the required procedures of framing and paneling the exterior walls.
• Basic knowledge and the ability to use staple & nail guns, power tools, hand tools measuring devices, hoists and other equipment as required by the specific job.
• Build headers per print by nailing together with insulation inside.
• Cut jack studs to required length based on print.
• Put headers and jack assembly on table and nail together.
• Cut bottom sill plate and install in window assembly.
• Install insulation inbetween studs.
• Glue and cover with OSB and staple in place.
• Glue and cover with sheetrock and screw in place.
• Raise wall into rack.

Education:

• High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
