Job summary

BonnaVilla, a brand of Chief Industries, is seeking a full-time Floor Installer to join its Aurora, NE manufacturing family. You will layout, cut, and install floor boards and decking according to specifications, using a nail gun and air tools, while ensuring square layouts and proper fit within stairwells and crawlspaces.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and experience in flooring or construction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in flooring, framing or construction is an asset.
• Ability to read specifications and layout floor components.

Responsibilities

• Layout, mark, cut, and install floor boards and decking per specifications.
• Set floor on rolling dollies using hoists and install insulation on rim joists.
• Frame in 2x3s for stairwell and crawlspace, cross measure for square.
• Mark, cut OSB boards, and cut holes for plumbing accurately.
• Glue floor joists and install OSB with a nail gun and air tools.
• Router off last row of stairwells and ensure proper alignment.

Description

Layout, mark, cut and install floor board & decking lengths and cut holes needed for each floor unit in accordance with required specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set floor on rolling dollys using hoists.
• Install fiberglass insulation on rim joists.
• Frame in 2x3’s for stairwell and crawlspace
• Cross measure for square
• Install string line to meet required alignment.
• Layout, mark, and cut OSB boards to lengths before measuring and cutting holes for plumbing.
• Glue floor joists and install OSB boards using a nail gun and other air powered tools.
• Router off last row of stairwells.

Education:

• High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
