Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is seeking a Production Clerk to support the collection, processing, stocking and sale of used goods at our La Grange store. You will process raw donations and prepare items for movement to the sales floor.

Responsibilities include hanging textiles, organizing footwear, maintaining garment sizing and quality, rotating stock, and occasionally operating a cash register. You will work with minimal supervision while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to make changes.
• Ability to perform material handling with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pick up, handle, inspect and sort textiles and housewares.
• Able to lift/carry 30 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Bend, stoop, kneel or crouch occasionally.
• Must follow all safety procedures and correct safety issues when possible.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

• Displays great customer service by greeting donors and customers.
• Processes raw donations into sellable merchandise.
• Hang Textile garments according to established procedures
• Keeps areas clean, including inside and outside the store.
• Sorts material as required and stocks material in stores.
• Maintains textile category, sizing and quality of goods on the retail sales floor.
• Arranges shoes, media and accessory items on the retail sales floor.
• Rotates stock in accordance with defined guidelines
• Recovers product on sales floor to ensure established merchandising guidelines
• Prepares material for transportation.
• Performs other duties as assigned,

Reports To : Retail Manager or designee.
