Job summary

Foster Farms in California is seeking a Night Shift Team Member to support our production department. You will assist the supervisor to meet quality, productivity, cost and safety goals while ensuring proper staffing and organization.

You will instruct and assist hourly employees, complete required paperwork, and uphold safe working habits. Strong leadership, basic computer skills, and the ability to read and follow written English instructions are important for success.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
• Some computer skills for record-keeping are required.
• Able to read and follow English instructions and communicate with management.
• Able to work safely and model safe habits.
• Able to meet department-specific physical requirements.
• Experience in the department is preferred.

Job Description:

• Assist supervisor to ensure that the department and company goals and standards of quality, productivity, cost and safety are met.
• Set up, organize and ensure that the department is staffed and make necessary adjustments as needed.
• Instruct, direct and assist hourly employees as needed.
• Assist with and complete paperwork as required and/or requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must have some computer skills for record keeping purposes.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate verbally in English with management and hourly employees.
• Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for his/hers co-workers.
• Ability to give instructions and follow-up with hourly employees.
• Ability to work in the environment specific to the department (i.e. cold and/or wet, etc.).
• Ability to understand and perform the various tasks to standards established for the department.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements (i.e. lifting, climbing and/or bending, etc.) to perform the various tasks in the department.
• Work experience specific to the department preferred.
