Job summary

Foster Farms in Washington state is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Associate to keep our processing areas clean and compliant with USDA standards.

You will follow safety procedures, operate pallet jacks, and assist with daily cleanings, with shift premiums for evening/night hours. This role requires physical stamina and reliability in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Must report regularly and on time to work as well as work all required hours, including overtime and weekends as scheduled.
• Ability to obtain pallet jack certificate and operate pallet jack safely.
• Physically capable to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation is responsible for cleaning the facility (inside and out) on a nightly basis, adhering to safety and attendance policies.
• Operate pallet jack and safely use chemicals and hot water for cleaning processing equipment.
• Sanitize plant areas in accordance with Pre-Operations and USDA standards so ready for Production.
• Keep non-production areas clean and orderly (breakrooms, bathrooms, parking lot, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision/Lead personnel.
• Make suggestions to improve processes.

Pay rate starts at $19.00 per hour with shift premiums of $0.50 for hours worked 4pm-midnight and $1.00 for hours worked midnight-8am. Longevity premium of $0.25 after one year of service. Attendance Premium of $0.25.

Essential Job Functions:

• Sanitation is responsible for cleaning the facility (inside and out) on a nightly basis. As such adherence to company safety and attendance policies is critical.
• Perform assigned tasks and follow instructions from Supervision and/or Lead personnel including Safe application of chemicals and high pressure hot (140 F) water to clean and sanitize processing equipment.
• Sanitize assigned plant area(s) on time and in accordance with Pre-Operations inspection by Quality Control and USDA standards in assigned area(s), so they are ready for release for Production.
• Keep the non-production areas clean and orderly including breakrooms, bathrooms, smoking areas, parking lot, and all other areas that is deemed necessary by Supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision and/or Lead personnel.
• Make suggestions on how we can improve our process.

Qualifications

• Must report regularly and on time to workas well as workall required hours, including overtime and weekends as scheduled.
• Work safely and set an example of good working safe habits.
• Ability to obtain pallet jack certificate.
• Ability to operate pallet jack in safe manner.
• Physically capable to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Repetitive pushing, pulling, and lifting between 10 -80 lbs.
• Ability to stand on concrete floor or metal standfor prolonged periods.
• Must be able to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
