Job summary

The View, part of Union Square Hospitality Group, seeks a Production Barback in New York City to support our bar and service teams within a revolving restaurant environment. You will stock the bar, prepare garnishes, and help maintain a clean, organized bar area to ensure guests enjoy memorable moments of hospitality.

We require 2+ years of Barback experience in a full-service restaurant, English fluency preferred, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

The View, New York City’s only revolving restaurant, bar, and lounge has been led by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group since 2025, following a complete renovation by the Rockwell Group. The space evokes the vibrant nightlife of historic New York, drawing inspiration from classic American supper clubs.

Located in the heart of the theater district, The View spans two floors, offering both a lively bar and a full-service dining room in constant motion. The experience blends live music, classic American cuisine, and panoramic skyline views with the theatrical energy of the surrounding neighborhood.

Who you are:

The Production Barback is an important partner to our Bar and Service teams and is responsible for ensuring that our Bar team has everything they need in order to create memorable moments of hospitality for our guests. The Production Barback is also responsible for keeping all components of the bar area clean, organized, and stocked.

What you’ll do:

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
• Stock the bar with necessary product and service tools
• Prepare necessary garnishes, syrups, juices, and/or batches
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including the seating area
• Follows proper steps of service with grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
• Communicates effectively with staff members, management, and the kitchen during service
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success

What we need from you:

• 2+ years experience as a Barback role in a full-service restaurant
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
