Job summary

ALMA is seeking a passionate Production Baker to join our team. Initially working from our commissary kitchen under the Pastry Chef, you will produce a wide range of baked goods for our three full-service restaurants and help open ALMA’s new ventures.

This role involves hands-on production, steady output, and collaboration with the baking team. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of commercial baking experience and a California Food Handlers card.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Commercial Baker or proven equivalent experience.
• California Food Handlers card is required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked goods (desserts, pastries, breads).
• Follow production schedule to ensure correct items and quantities.
• Assist Pastry Chef with ordering ingredients and maintaining records.
• Maintain clean ovens and baking areas in the kitchen.
• Train in baking and production prep duties to support the team.
• Ensure desserts are prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Adhere to portion sizing, recipes, and kitchen policies.
