Job summary

Elephants Delicatessen seeks a skilled Production Baker for our Central Kitchen. You will prepare, mix, proof, bake, decorate, and label a wide variety of breads and pastries in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of bakery production, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Early mornings, weekends, and varying shifts are required to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of bakery, pastry, dessert, bake-off, or commercial kitchen production experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, scale, portion, shape, proof, bake, finish, decorate, package, and label breads, pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, bars, granola, and bake-off items according to recipes and production schedules.
• Prepare fillings, frostings, glazes, toppings, and other dessert components.
• Operate commercial bakery equipment including mixers, proof boxes, ovens, dough dividers, and presses.
• Monitor product quality and adjust processes to maintain safety and consistency.
• Support catering and store fulfillment by assembling bakery orders and dessert trays on time.
• Follow daily production schedules and respond to last-minute orders with urgency.
