Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Raleigh, NC for a production-focused role. The position offers $75,000–$105,000+ OTE with flat-rate compensation and a guaranteed minimum described as approximately $35 per hour.

Expect 40–50+ hours weekly in a high-volume shop. There is a focus on mechanical repair rather than heavy diagnostics, with a clean, organized environment and solid management support.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional automotive technician experience.
• Strong hands‑on mechanical repair background.
• Experience working in a full‑service automotive repair environment.
• Ability to perform production‑focused repair work efficiently and consistently.
• ASE A1–A8 certifications are a plus.
• North Carolina State Inspection License is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and parts replacement efficiently in a high‑volume shop environment.
• Service and repair automotive braking systems.
• Perform suspension repairs and wheel alignments.
• Complete tire service and related wheel work.
• Perform fluid services and general vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect and replace hoses and belts as needed.
• Perform automotive A/C service.
• Maintain consistent production while completing assigned work accurately and efficiently.
