Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate in Rocky Mount, VA to fabricate components for final window assembly in a fast-paced environment. The role requires physical work, heavy lifting, and repetitive tasks across departments. Training may span up to six weeks, with a 6a–6p schedule during the ramp-up.

Salary begins at $16.00 per hour plus a $1.45 per hour shift differential. The position is full-time on-site with benefits starting day one and opportunities for growth within

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass‑produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows.
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour, plus $1.45 per hour shift differential

Shift: Weekend 6AM to 6 PM Friday - Sunday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast‑paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Training period require working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass‑produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees
