Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate in Marion, Ohio to fabricate and assemble window components in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

You will perform repetitive operations to mass-produce windows, operate tools, read work orders, and assist with training new employees on the job.

1st Shift is Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a base pay rate of $17.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits starting day 1.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to read and carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience reading a tape measure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May assist with delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Operate hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as required.
• Read and carry out work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Read measurements and carry out conversions as needed.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.
