Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking entry-level candidates for our retread teams in Brunswick, OH. No experience required; we provide training to equip you with the skills to extend tire life through retreading steps.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess retreadability.

• Build tire by applying new tread.
• Cure tire to mold the retread application.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.

Starting Pay: $19.00 (training provided) - $23.00 Hourly (experienced) + OT & Weekly Pay

About the Role: What will you do?

As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or in other words, extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road!

In our retread plants you will have the opportunity to support the retread process through various stages:

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
• Building the tire by applying new tread
• Curing the tire to mold the retread application
• Final Inspection to assess a safe and quality product

Basic Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
