Job summary

PPG Industries in Euclid, Ohio is hiring immediately for a Production Associate. You will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring quality products are available when customers need them. This position offers an hourly rate of $20.69 and Monday through Thursday shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You will load materials, operate and maintain equipment, inspect materials, and uphold safety and 5-S standards while helping prevent waste.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Reliable with attendance policies.
• Mechanically inclined with math and troubleshooting skills.
• Can make independent decisions per policies.
• Keen eye for detecting inconsistencies.
• Promote and utilize 5-S standards on the line.
• Must work overtime as needed.
• Good attendance and safety record.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures to form a variety of simple tasks in the production process.
• Load materials into production machines.
• Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality.
• Remove, pack, and sort raw materials or finished products.
• Collect and dispose of garbage and production waste according to policies.
• Clean production equipment and work areas.
