Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc is hiring a Production Associate in Euclid, Ohio to support our manufacturing lines and ensure quality products are available when customers need them.

You will load materials, operate and maintain production equipment, inspect raw materials and finished products, and keep areas clean and safe by following 5-S principles. This position offers an hourly rate of $20.69 with Monday through Thursday shifts (6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Able to repeatedly lift to 50lbs within a scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Proven history as being reliable and consistent with following attendance policies.
• Mechanically inclined with math and troubleshooting skills.
• Can make independent decisions that follow company policies and procedures.
• Ability to detect inconsistencies and a keen eye for details.
• Promote and utilize 5-S standards for the line to improve efficiency, cleanliness and safety.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Have good attendance and safety record.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and guidelines to form a variety of simple, manual tasks that form part of a production process.
• Load materials into production machines.
• Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality.
• Remove, pack, and sort raw materials or finished products.
• Collect, and dispose of garbage and production waste according to the organization's waste removal and recycling policies.
• Clean production equipment and work areas.
