Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Production Associate for the night shift. The role involves safely handling lumber products, verifying material against customer requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities include stacking, labeling, tagging, and securing materials, operating basic equipment, and maintaining accurate production records in a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber and materials per instructions.
• Stack finished products per bundle sizes or customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count.
• Apply tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Operate staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band and secure material; attach corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Ensure correct quantities and labeling before leaving work area.
• Maintain inventory records and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets and maintain a clean workspace.
• Assist other areas by moving materials and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.

Job Summary

Production Associate (Night) is responsible for safely handling lumber products. Verifies material meets customer requirements and company expectations.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
• Labels material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count
• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment
• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
• Records production on production sheets
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as required

Hourly Pay Range

$17.00 - $20.00 hourly - dependent on experience *

• pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay

Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses.

A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
