Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and follow regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Support cross-functional shop activities including staging and basic assembly.

Job description

Position Overview:The Aerospace MRO Operator is responsible for performing hands-on inspection and repair of aerospace engine components within the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul environment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in manual repair processes such as blending and epoxy application. The Operator works collaboratively with inspectors, engineers, and other technicians while supporting cross-functional activities to ensure safe, high-quality, and compliant repairs.Key Responsibilities:• Inspect engine parts and components to identify damage, wear, and repair requirements using proper measurement tools and visual inspection techniques.• Read, interpret, and apply information from engine manuals, technical instructions, service bulletins, and repair documents.• Perform precision repairs such as blend repairs, epoxy application, and surface preparation according to approved data and work instructions.• Maintain accuracy and consistency in repair execution to meet engineering specifications and regulatory standards.• Document inspection and repair results clearly and accurately in shop records and electronic systems.• Collaborate closely with engineers, quality technicians, and fellow operators to resolve technical issues and ensure compliant repair processes.• Work safely and follow all regulatory, environmental, and company guidelines.• Support cross-functional shop activities including staging, cleaning, routing parts, tool maintenance, and basic assembly/disassembly when needed.• Participate in training programs to develop skills in inspection, repair methods, equipment operation, and quality procedures.• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the MRO environment.Qualifications:• High school diploma or technical school certification required; advanced training in aerospace maintenance or machining preferred.• Experience in aerospace MRO, mechanical repair, engine maintenance, or related precision technical work strongly preferred.• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and repair instructions.• Knowledge of repair processes such as blending, sanding, grit blasting, epoxy application, or similar precision techniques.• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience using tools, gauges, and measurement devices.• High attention to detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship.• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn across multiple functions.Key Attributes:• Precise and detail-oriented.• Team-focused and collaborative.• Reliable and safety-conscious.• Adaptable and willing to support various shop functions.• Technically curious and eager to learn
