Job summary

Parallel in Austin, TX is hiring a Cannabis Production Associate to produce cannabis-infused foods in a fast-paced plant. You will follow approved recipes, measure ingredients, operate kitchen equipment, and ensure GMP and regulatory compliance throughout production.

Open availability and ability to start as early as 8:00 AM are required. Ideal candidates have experience in food manufacturing or culinary operations and want to grow in the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cannabis-infused food and beverage products per recipes and schedules.
  • Measure, weigh, mix, and portion ingredients for accuracy.
  • Operate kitchen and production equipment (mixers, ovens, packaging).
  • Maintain GMPs, safety, sanitation, and cannabis regulatory compliance.
  • Staged ingredients, prepared batches, verified inventory before runs.
  • Monitor processes to ensure quality in appearance, texture and flavor.
  • Package and label finished products per state regulations.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and workstations.
  • Complete production logs and quality documentation on time.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and kitchen teams for efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safety-focused workspace.

Schedule: Full-Time | Open Availability Required

What You'll Do
  • Preparing cannabis‑infused food and beverage products according to approved recipes, formulations, and production schedules.
  • Accurately measuring, weighing, mixing, and portioning ingredients to ensure product consistency and dosage accuracy.
  • Operating commercial kitchen and food production equipment, including mixers, depositors, ovens, packaging equipment, and scaling systems.
  • Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and cannabis regulatory requirements.
  • Staging ingredients, preparing batches, and verifying inventory prior to production runs.
  • Monitoring production processes to ensure quality, appearance, texture, flavor, and consistency standards are achieved.
  • Packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products in compliance with state regulations and company specifications.
  • Performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance of equipment, utensils, and workstations.
  • Completing production logs, batch records, and quality documentation accurately and on time.
  • Collaborating with production, quality, and kitchen teams to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety‑focused workspace.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
