Blackstone Valley Cannabis, based in Uxbridge, MA, seeks a Production Associate to support day-to-day manufacturing and packaging operations. You will handle weighing, packaging, grinding, and operating equipment while following SOPs and safety protocols in a fast-paced setting.

This role reports to the COO and offers growth within a growing cannabis company, with on-site work and community-focused values. Local applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a Manufacturing or Operations related role.
• Math skills are necessary.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, able to work independently or in teams.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to sit, stand and perform repetitive tasks.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background checks will be performed.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Separate and weigh cannabis forms for packaging.
• Assemble, fill, seal and label finished goods.
• Grind plant material to required size for applications.
• Operate automated equipment for pre-rolled joints creation.
• Follow SOPs and daily production schedule precisely.
• Maintain clean work area and wear PPE as required.
• Help keep Production compliant with regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

This role is critical to the company’s continued growth and drive toward being the best operational company in the cannabis industry. Reporting to the COO, the production associate will complete daily tasks in the production and packaging department. The production department consists of handheld, semi automatic and automatic equipment that assist in the creation, labeling and packaging of finished products. The primary focus of this position will be to follow SOPs and the daily production schedule to assist in creating these products. Candidates must have a strong ownership mindset and a desire to contribute to the continued success of a rapidly growing business. This is ideal for goal-oriented individuals who are comfortable with the cannabis industry and who appreciate the growth potential that it presents

What you’ll do

• Separate out and weigh various forms of cannabis to be packaged
• Assemble finished goods packaging, fill with proper product, seal and label
• Grind plant material to a specific size dependent on application using machinery
• Assist in the operation of automated equipment for creation of pre-rolled joints
• Accurately and diligently follow the Company’s SOP’s
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure you are wearing appropriate PPE.
• Assist with keeping the Production department in compliance with the regulations.
