Job summary

International Paper in Modesto, CA is hiring for an entry-level, full-time hourly position. You will perform general physical activities, operate equipment under supervision, and contribute to quality testing and process improvements.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided to develop mechanical and safety skills in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Eligible for employment in the US.
  • Must be willing to meet safety and health screening requirements including drug tests and periodic health assessments.
  • Willing to work any shift, overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Start in an entry-level position performing general physical activities.
  • Receive on-the-job training to operate equipment and perform mechanical tasks.
  • Climb, lift, balance, walk, and handle materials as part of daily duties.
  • Monitor, adjust, and control operating equipment to ensure quality.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to evaluate product or process performance.

Begin at $20.00 per hour, with an increase to $27.53 per hour after successfully completing the 90-day introductory period.

Shifts:
  • 1st - 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • 2nd - 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • 3rd - 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Job Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
    • Operate or work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)
    • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
    • Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment
    • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
    • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
    • Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
    • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
    • Wear required safety equipment
